著名学者余秋雨先生说：“ 一个孩子如果没有机会从小学习表演，将来很难成为有魅力的社会角色，让儿童参加表演，不是要培养文艺爱好者，而是要赋予孩子们一种社会技能 ”。本着丰富少儿业余生活，挖掘少儿艺术潜能，及对舞蹈艺术的兴趣和爱好的宗旨，儿童舞蹈班希望通过音乐、动作、表情、姿态，培养少儿挺拨，灵活，健美的体态，练就高贵、美丽、优雅、自信的气质。让学员们的肢体伴随着年龄进行舞蹈化，规格化的转变。为孩子打下良好的舞蹈基础。

学习中国民族舞蹈是舞蹈班的特色之一。秋季班将从零基础开始学习新疆舞，并排练新疆舞参加明年春晚的演出。

儿童舞蹈班以系统，科学的“英皇芭蕾考级教材”为蓝本，辅以“北舞考级教材”中国舞蹈的基本功训练方式，让孩子们在快乐中学习芭蕾，热爱中华文化和中国民族舞蹈。在独特的芭蕾和中国舞相结合的舞蹈训练下，儿童舞蹈团每年都有不同形式的舞蹈作品在巴尔的摩和大华府地区的舞台上呈现。在每年一度的中文学校春晚和The Walters Art Museum Celebrates Lunar New Year 的舞台上留下了许多脍炙人口的舞蹈节目，受到了观众们的好评。

时间：每周日12:30pm – 1:20pm

教学内容：
1）芭蕾基本功训练：把杆练习，地面练习和中间练习
2）中国民族舞蹈基本功训练
3) 舞蹈组合和成品舞蹈排练

服装：芭蕾练功服，粉色连裤袜和芭蕾练功鞋

头型：长发盘成整齐的发髻固定于头后，短发梳理整齐。 Butterfly Children Dance Group

The class focuses on the basic concepts of ballet. Include traditional barre work and beginning level independent movement. Balance, hopping, skipping, jumping, galloping, age appropriate stretches, basic positions of the feet and arms, the concept of parallel vs. turned out legs and feet.
The students will also learn basic shapes，gestures of Chinese dance and complete Chinese Folk Dance.
By the end of class, students will be able to take a Royal Academy of Dance Mock Exam; And they will have the opportunity to perform on dance stage.
